Hey, question for you, since I like your taste in food: we’re spending this weekend in Austin. Got a recommendation for a good local joint we should eat at? Not just a touristy place, but a joint regular folks love.

Oooooooooh. Freedmen’s for probably the best beef BBQ ever even after normal BBQ hours, Maudie’s or Trudy’s for Tex-Mex, Bangers or Frank for t3h sausages, Cisco’s for Tex-Mex-breakfast (because migas and fluffy biscuits are good), Via 313 for absurdly good pizza, and there’s always Kerbey Lane, 24 Diner or Magnolia if no one knows what they want. Basically any stand with tacos doesn’t suck, too. Tasty food is something we’re not super short on, so I’m sure I’m forgetting some.

OOH! Lucy’s is getting kinda biggish, but they have good fried chicken and less busy locations now, too. Also, Rocky Mountain Oysters. I’m just saying.

Good thoughts. Wife likes fried duck chicken, and Hugz loves seafood. Thanks again!

They have normal oysters, too, which are delicious but fair warning: “Rocky Mountain Oysters” are not of the sea. Hahahaha.
